Import contacts from a CSV file
Import your existing contact list into Skuads for your email and SMS campaigns.

If you already have a list of contacts (customers, prospects), you can import it directly into Skuads to use in your email and SMS campaigns.
Access: Acquisition > Messaging > Contacts tab, then the “Import CSV” button.
Prepare your file
Only a CSV file is accepted (.csv). Use the first row for column headers.
- Mandatory columns:
name,email,phone. - Optional columns:
lead_status,tags,consent_email,consent_sms.
For best results, use UTF-8 encoding and an international format for phone numbers. The consent_email and consent_sms columns accept true or false.
Import your contacts
- In the Contacts tab, click “Import CSV”.
- Confirm the GDPR consent prompt. You must have explicit consent from each contact on file to receive marketing communications.
- Select your file from your computer. The import starts as soon as the file is chosen.
You can also click on “Import from Leads” to retrieve the leads already collected via your lead forms, instead of importing a file.
After import
- Your contacts appear in the Acquisition > Messaging > Contacts list, with their lead status, their tags and their consent indicators.
- The
consent_emailandconsent_smsvalues are applied immediately. Only contacts with the appropriate consent will receive your campaigns.
GDPR compliance
GDPR compliance is your responsibility. Only upload contacts who have given their explicit consent to receive marketing communications from you. Skuads will never send messages to a contact whose consent is not confirmed.
