Manage and respond to Google reviews

Read, filter and respond to your Google Business Profile reviews from Skuads.

Connect Google Business Profile

Reviews require a connected Google Business Profile. The connection is self-service:

  1. Open Your connected accounts from the sidebar.
  2. Find Google Business Profile and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with Google and approve the requested permissions.
  4. Choose your account and institution from the drop-down menu, then click Link this account.

On sites created by Skuads, members cannot log in or edit the profile. A status panel displays the connection status and the message Contact Skuads.

Access your reviews

Open the Online Presence group in the sidebar, then Google Business Profile, and open the Comments tab.

You see each Google review with, for each:

  • Star rating (1 to 5),
  • Author's name,
  • Publication date,
  • Text of the notice.

Filter your reviews

The filters at the top of the list allow you to toggle between All Selected, Reply Waiting, and Answered. Use Pending Reply to quickly spot reviews that need your attention.

Reply to a review

  1. Click Reply for a new answer, or Edit if an answer already exists.
  2. Click Generate to create a suggested response with Skuads AI, based on the review content.
  3. Edit the suggestion if you want to adjust the tone, add details, or personalize the message.
  4. Click Publish. The response is sent directly to Google.

You can also Delete an answer you previously posted if you need to revise it.

Best practices for responding

  • Respond quickly: ideally within 24 to 48 hours of the review being published.
  • Always thank the author: Start by thanking the customer, even for a negative review.
  • Handle negative reviews with empathy: Acknowledge the problem without being defensive, and offer to resolve it offline (by phone or email).
  • Remain professional: your responses are public and visible to everyone.
  • Personalize: a response that addresses a specific point in the review is more effective than a generic response.

Why responding to reviews is important

Responding to your Google reviews has a direct impact on:

  • Your local search ranking: Google favors active profiles that interact with customers.
  • The visibility of your Google Business Profile: a high response rate improves the visibility of your profile.
  • Prospect confidence: future customers read responses to reviews before contacting a company.

Troubleshooting

  • Reviews are not loading: Your Google Business Profile business may not be connected. Open Your connected accounts and connect Google Business Profile.
