Publish posts on Google Business Profile
Create, schedule and publish posts directly to your Google Business Profile.
Updated May 15, 2026
Google Business Profile posts allow you to share news, offers and events directly on your Google profile. Skuads allows you to create, schedule and publish them without leaving the platform.
Connect Google Business Profile
Posts require a connected Google Business Profile location. The connection is self-service:
- Open Connected Accounts from the sidebar.
- Find Google Business Profile and click Connect.
- Sign in with Google and approve the requested permissions.
- Choose the account and institution that Skuads should link, then confirm.
On sites created by an administrator, members cannot modify the linked account. They can only disconnect and reconnect it themselves via Google. On self-created accounts, the linked account can also be modified.
Access posts
Go to Presence in the sidebar, then Google Business Profile, and open the Posts tab. There you see all your posts, and you can filter them by type with All, News, Offers and Events.
Types of posts
You can create three types of posts:
- News. Share an announcement, news or information about your business.
- Offers. Promote an offer, with a coupon code, link, conditions and validity period.
- Events. Announce an event with a title and start and end dates.
Create a post
- Click the new post button to open the Create Post editor.
- Choose the type of post: News, Offers or Events.
- Write your content, or click Generate to let SkuadsBot® AI write it for you.
- Add one or more images by uploading your files.
- Depending on the type of post, fill in the additional fields (offer coupon, link, conditions and start and end dates, or event title and dates).
- Optionally add a button under Add button (optional).
- Click Publish. The post is sent to your Google Business Profile.
Generating the text of a post with AI SkuadsBot® does not consume Skuads credits.
Google rules for posts
Google applies content restrictions to posts. Keep this in mind:
- Prohibited content: alcohol, gambling, tobacco products, sexual or misleading content.
- Image quality: use a clear, well-lit image.
Non-compliant posts may be rejected by Google without notice.
Tips
- Post regularly: one post per week is enough to keep your profile active and improve your local visibility.
- Use offers for limited promotions: Validity dates create a sense of urgency.
- Always add an image: posts with a visual get more engagement.
- Personalize AI suggestions: the generated text is a starting point. Adjust it to reflect your tone and specific information.
Troubleshooting
- The Posts tab is missing: your Google Business Profile is not connected. Open Connected Accounts and connect Google Business Profile.
- A post is not published: check your connection and try again. If the problem persists, contact us at support@skuads.com.
