Skuads support

Send an email or SMS campaign

Create, configure and launch a marketing campaign from the Messaging page.

The Messaging section (under Acquisition in the sidebar) allows you to send campaigns to your contact database. Open it, then use the Campaigns tab.

Steps

  1. Go to Acquisition, then Messaging, then the Campaigns tab and click on Create campaign.
  2. Set the Name (internal, hidden from recipients).
  3. Choose the Channel: Email, SMS, or Email and SMS.
  4. Choose Audience (segment): a filtered group of your contacts, or all contacts.
  5. Choose a Template (email or SMS template).
  6. Set Schedule for (optional): Leave blank to send immediately or later from the campaign list, or choose a date and time. You can also enable Smart Send Time.
  7. Click Next, review the estimated reach and cost on the confirmation screen, and then send the campaign.

Costs

Each shipment consumes Skuads credits:

  • E-mail: 1 credit per sending.
  • SMS: 4 credits per sending.

A “both” campaign sends the email first and then the SMS to the same contact, provided both consents are present.

Monthly sending limits

Regardless of your credit balance, monthly sending limits apply:

  • 500 emails per month by default,
  • 200 SMS per month by default.

When you reach a cap, Skuads silently skips sending for that contact (without error) and continues with other available channels. The counter resets on the 1st of the month.

Automatic SMS response to missed calls is not subject to this cap.

Consent and Compliance

Skuads never sends email or SMS marketing to a contact who has not given consent. Consent is defined by contact:

  • consent_email (authorization to send e-mail),
  • consent_sms (authorization to send SMS).

Before you can add contacts, Skuads requires you to read and agree to a Disclaimer and Compliance Notice. You are solely responsible for the legality of your contact lists and communications, including GDPR consent. Skuads only acts as a technical service provider.

Personalization

In the body of the email or SMS, you can use tags:

  • :name. Contact name,
  • :email. Contact email,
  • :phone. Contact phone number.

Unsubscribe

Every email automatically contains an unsubscribe link, and every text message contains unsubscribe instructions. When a contact unsubscribes, their consent is revoked and they are excluded from all future campaigns.

Tracking

For emails, Skuads tracks opens (tracking pixel), clicks on links (rewritten via a tracker), and unsubscribes. For SMS, clicks are also tracked (links are rewritten to Skuads short links).

Statistics are displayed on the Messaging Dashboard (Performance and Engagement) and in the Analytics tab.
